OSM extends
Microsoft Corporation's Identity Management products into the UNIX
and Linux world
COSuser, OSM's user provisioning software, has been integrated
seamlessly with Microsoft's Identity Integration Server 2003, Enterprise
Edition (MIIS).
The release means that MIIS can now be used by IT organizations
as a means to manage identity information for UNIX, Linux and other
operating systems, as well as the directory services from Microsoft
and others already supported by MIIS.
OSM's COSuser software adds functionality to MIIS that allows
both products to compete more strongly in environments where "end-to-end" identity
management strategies are being considered.

OSM's COSuser software
offers Linux users improved powers to block unauthorized access
OSM announces the general availability of the COSuser user
provisioning software for Linux.
The release means that mid- to large-scale IT organizations now
have the means to control who has access to their Linux-based applications
and to manage identity information across heterogeneous networks of
Linux, UNIX and Microsoft Windows systems from a central point.
